Monnig’s initial project – a WTC sculpture – was not possible, as his sculptural language did not fit well in the WTC environment. After arriving from Germany, Monnig realized how overwhelming the economical and political power of the WTC were. In his perspective the most pertinent action, as an artist, was to challenge the current order of things, through a new constructive process. This photobooks is the result of that process, documenting a series of performances, installations and texts, which gave a different perspective on WTC environment.
